Alex de Ronde is a New York–based brand partnerships, licensing, and IP strategist working at the intersection of art, commerce, fashion, and culture. His practice focuses on building thoughtful, long-term collaborations between artists, estates, and global brands, translating creative legacy into meaningful presence in the marketplace.
Over the course of his career, Alex has worked across fashion, beauty, design, and luxury, collaborating with brands including Adidas, Coach, Comme des Garçons, Dior, Longchamp, Off-White, MAC Cosmetics, Raf Simons, Saint Laurent, Tiffany & Co., and Uniqlo. He currently serves as Head of Brand Partnerships & Licensing at 291 Agency, where he leads collaboration strategy and IP development with both living artists and artist estates.
Previously, Alex spent eight years as Director of Brand Partnerships at Artestar, where he managed and expanded global licensing and collaboration programs for some of the most influential figures in modern art, including the Estate of Jean-Michel Basquiat, the Keith Haring Studio, Kenny Scharf, and the Robert Mapplethorpe Foundation.
With a foundation in design and creative production, Alex brings a holistic perspective to partnership building that combines strategic rigor with an understanding of creative process, storytelling, and execution. He holds a Bachelor of Humanities and Arts (B.H.A.) in Design & Decision Science from Carnegie Mellon University.
